 Hi, I’m Rachelle Hangsleben, an English teacher, musician, and mom living in Bologna, Italy. My journey of teaching English through music began when I started singing to my unborn daughter in English—a simple act of love that grew into Baby Musical Playground and Book it!, a joyful teaching method that helps children learn language through song, movement, and creativity. Over the past 20 years, I’ve shared this approach with families, schools, and teachers across Italy, inspiring kids to connect with English in a natural, playful way.

It all starts with connection!

From singing to my baby in English to directing joyful summer camps in the Italian hills, my mission has always been the same—to help children fall in love with language through music, laughter, and real human connection.

In summer, I bring this same spirit to the hills of  Bagno di Romagna, where I direct intimate, residential  English Summer Camps for children ages 7–14. Through music, games, and real communication, kids gain confidence, make lifelong friends, and discover that learning English can be a joyful adventure. My mission is simple—“to help children fall in love with the English language, and to empower parents and teachers to make learning a meaningful, musical, and memorable experience.”
